There are three types of integrated technology for the power battery of new energy vehicles: CTP, CTC, and CTB. Here are the introductions of these three technologies:
CTP (Cell to Pack) technology. This mainly involves eliminating the battery module design and integrating the battery pack directly as a part of the vehicle structure onto the vehicle floor, thereby improving space utilization, reducing weight, and increasing endurance.
CTC (Cell to Chassis) technology. This involves integrating the battery cells directly into the car chassis to achieve a higher degree of integration of the body and chassis. This technology further improves integration, reduces the number of components, improves space utilization, enhances structural efficiency, reduces vehicle weight, and increases driving range.
CTB (Cell to Body) technology. This is a new battery integration technology proposed by BYD Auto, which achieves the evolution from body-in-white to battery-in-body. When designing and manufacturing the battery pack, the battery system is integrated as a whole with the body, at this point, the blade battery acts not only as a battery but also assumes some of the role of the chassis.
