The lithium battery electrode is generally compacted by a rolling press machine, as shown in Fig. 1. In this process, the electrodes coated on both sides of the particle coating are fed into the gap between the two rolls, and the coating is applied under the action of the roll line load. After being compacted, the electrode will elastically rebound after the seam is slid out, resulting in an increase in thickness. Therefore, the roll gap size and rolling load are two important parameters, usually the roll gap is smaller than the final thickness of the electrode, or the load can cause the coating to be compacted. In addition, the magnitude of the rolling speed directly determines the holding time of the load on the electrode, and also affects the rebound of the electrode, which ultimately affects the coating density and porosity of the electrode.
