The performance of lithium-ion battery separator determines the capacity, cycle performance, charge and discharge current density and other key characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, requiring the separator to have the appropriate thickness, ion transmission rate, pore size and porosity and sufficient chemical stability, thermal stability and mechanical stability. (1) the same wet process, the thickness of the same separator porosity and air permeability value is negatively correlated, the linear fit of 0.9998; porosity, curvature similar diaphragm thickness and air permeability value is positively correlated, the linear fit of 0.9545.
(2) The greater the porosity of the wet diaphragm of the same thickness, the smaller the ACR/DCR of the battery; the greater the thickness of the wet diaphragm with similar porosity and curvature, the greater the ACR/DCR of the battery. Dry diaphragm battery ACR/DCR is smaller than the wet diaphragm at the same thickness.
(3) wet diaphragm with increased porosity (thickness of the same), the battery's room temperature voltage drop and high temperature physical self-discharge are becoming larger; wet diaphragm with increased thickness (porosity, curvature similar), the battery's room temperature voltage drop and high temperature physical self-discharge are becoming smaller. Dry diaphragm battery room temperature voltage drop and high temperature physical self-discharge are slightly greater than the same thickness of wet diaphragm.
(4) -20 ℃ discharge, the same thickness of wet diaphragm porosity is larger, the smaller the capacity retention rate; while porosity, curvature is similar, the thicker the wet diaphragm capacity retention rate. Under the same thickness, the capacity retention rate of dry diaphragm is slightly smaller than that of wet diaphragm.
