    According to the case of the battery, the lithium-ion batteries on the market are mainly divided into:cylindric lithium-ion battery, pouch cell,aluminum shell battery and coin cell. The first three are mainstream finished batteries on the market,and the coin cell case  is mainly used for materials research.The coin cell case is mainly made by stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316.(Abbreviated as SS304 and SS316),SS316 contains more alloying elements than SS304, so the corrosion resistance of SS316 is better than SS304.So SS316 coin cell case will be a little more expensive than SS304. According the model of the coin cell case,it can divided to:CR2016, CR2025, CR2032, CR1620, CR1632, CR2325 etc.CR20XX are more common in the market, especially CR2032, so this type of battery case has some other processing,like aluminized coin cell case, gold-coated coin cell case and air mesh coin cell case etc. After introduce about the coin cell case,let's start talking about cylindric lithium-ion battery case,which is the is the earliest commercialization, the highest degree of production automation, and the lowest cost current power battery,and Tesla also choose the 18650 cylinder cell.The cylinder battery case is similar to coin cell case,also is made by SS316 or SS304.Most cylindrical cell steel can manufacturers use steel as the battery shell material, because the physical stability of the steel material is much higher than the aluminum shell material, and after the optimization of the design structure of each manufacturer, the safety device has been placed inside the battery core. The safety of the cylinder stainless steel battery has reached a new height. The cylinder battery case model have 14500, 18650, 21700, 26650 etc. First two number represent the diameter about the battery,and the next two number represent the height of the battery case.And 0 means the battery case is a cylinder.Like 18650 battery case means diameter is 18mm height is 65mm cylinder battery case. Although stainless steel case have so many advantage,but stainless steel case has low weight-to-energy ratio and poor safety.So have many factory choose the battery aluminum case.And now these case always is big.And due to the higher cost of battery aluminum case mold opening, there are fewer models and higher order quantity requirements. Aluminum laminated film can be said that it is an upgraded version of the aluminum shell,lighter quality, lower mold opening cost and higher safety than aluminum case,which is another popular battery case except cylinder battery case.But the aluminum laminated film is weak against pressure and bulging easily.     Today we had finished the package of the vacuum planetary mixer for our Russia customer.The mixing machine is used for lithium battery slurry mixing. The preparation of the battery electrode slurry is the most critical part of the whole process. The quality of the electrode slurry directly affects whether the next step can be performed. Slurry preparation is a non-Newtonian high-viscosity fluid formed by mixing powders and liquids such as living materials, adhesives, solvents, and thickeners. The fluid needs to have a certain viscosity, good fluidity, and a sufficiently small particle size. What kind of equipment does the electrode slurry preparation need to meet the requirements? Have a good vacuum-tight system There are three main reasons why a mixer needs a good vacuum-tight system: ① During the whole mixing process, due to frequent collision and friction between materials, and friction between the agitator and the material, more heat will be generated, resulting in temperature rise. Increasing temperature will cause some solvents to be emitted, which will produce great irritating odors, such as NMP, PVDF, etc. Organic gas will cause great harm to human body. ②In the dry powder premixing stage, if the closed system is not good enough, it will cause dust to rise, destroy the working environment, affect product quality and cause harm to employees. ③ There are large voids inside the powder. After mixing with the solvent, there will be many air bubbles inside the slurry. The slurry needs to be defoamed in order to perform electrode coating, otherwise bubbles will break during the coating process, the areal density is different, and even the foil is exposed, which is extremely detrimental to the battery performance. The material of the mixer has strong corrosion resistance, wear resistance and stable physical and chemical properties Obviously, regardless of the strong alkalinity of the positive electrode material, the strong corrosion resistance of NMP, etc., the mixer needs to have excellent corrosion resistance. During the stirring process, the continuous stirring of the powder by the agitator requires that it has abrasion resistance and a sufficiently long service life. The mixing blade structure is reasonable and the design of the stirring speed meets the requirements In addition to having sufficient stirring power and stirring range in the mixer, the shape and mechanical design of the blades of the mixer have a great influence on the preparation of the slurry. First, it is necessary to ensure that the stirring range of the stirrer is large enough and there is no dead angle in the stirring container. At present, larger-shaft mixers use biaxial or even triaxial planetary agitators to ensure that no powder or agglomerated living materials are not uniformly mixed into the slurry.
